This is very unusual.  I just installed the VM and had no trouble expanding the tree.  From the error it appears a Javascript function is not available.  I guess his could happen if Javascript was off in your browser.  Did you modify any of the JSP or velocity templates?

I've tested with different browsers on different pcs. The site is part of "trusted" sites in ie7...

There is a problem in the 1.0.2 version where the tree widget stops working when you are in Italian. This is due to the single quote in the string: 'Sessione scaduta. Ripetere l'accesso.

This problem has bee fixed in 1.0.3. There is an easy fix for this. I have attached an edited Itialian translation file where the single quote from this string has been removed. Copy this file to WEB-INF/messages in your ICEcore installation. Then restart the Tomcat server. Your problems should be fixed.

Why do you say that Novell is not so interested (I'm curious)?  I would say that they most certainly are.  ICEcore is the foundation for their Team + Conference product which is in the growth category of collaboration software (growing at like 40% annually).  Do to the size and growth of this segment, Novell is very likely to continue working with ICEcore for quite some time.  But ICEcore should continue to grow and gather other development partners and contributors so that Novell's decision to continue working on ICEcore would be inconsequential.  Open source is about lots of people coming together to make a better product not just one company.  When ICEcore was open sourced by SiteScape the very purpose was to make ICEcore a better product through community contribution.  In fact if I had to pick a singular goal that is important to ICEcore, it would be to expand it's contributor base beyond what it is today and get developers excited about working on a new paradigm for collaboration in the enterprise :-)  P.S.  I am curious as to why you say Novell is not interested.

Ok, may be I'm wrong. Anyway I did not appreciate the departure of the sitescape website. It was full of usefull informations, case studies, webcasts... 

I don't like the actual www.sitescape.com homepage. The relationship between Novell Teaming and Icore is not so clear. There is also a mistake on the weblink to the community website.

I've contacted Novell Italy to ask for some documentation, but I haven't received anything yet.

Maybe I'm paranoic just because I'm deciding to use Icecore exactly during this phase of chages.

Maybe it is important for me to read your reactions to may doubts.

What do you think the relationship between Novell and ICEcore should look like?  I'm of the opinion that ICEcore should NOT look like a Novell product but should present itself as an independent project, of which Novell is a sponsors, just like HP could sponsor ICEcore if they wanted.  Don't get me wrong I think having Novell help get ICEcore started is super, however the real test of the project will not be whether Novell supports ICEcore but how well ICEcore recruits contributors outside of Novell and builds a community around the ideas of helping teams collaborate.

What kind of documentation are you looking for and where is the link to icecore.org broken at? 

I had not the time to see everithing, but I remember a webcast on integration between icecore and a crm product.

There where some interesting documents like "How Collaborative Technologies are Transforming Financial Services", that I hadn't the time to dowload.

It's not so easy in Italy to talk about this kind of software solutions. This kind of document is useful to explain the potentiality of the Icecore platform.

Those documents were not part of open source documentation, and this was the aspect that I was appreciating of the relationship between Sitescape company and Icecore community. The circulation of ideas.

I've found a little mistake in the italian translation file, about the themes management. Themes names were set as icbg,icvm and icgp instead of icib, iccg and icwg respectively. Here is a corrected version of the file.
