I'm using Teaming to manage the contracts with different customers. I wish to setup access control for each entry created. Would Teaming able to do that ?

Two ways I can think of. First one is to create folders or workspaces per customer and assign rights to them on a per customer basis. Second is to use a workflow like the sample Publish workflow to set access rights on an entry. But be carefull to check the rights in that case, otherwise others might be able to see something they shouldn't.

Hello Marcel,

I've been working with Teaming and promoting the tool throughout the company for 1 year by now. I'm now trying to set Control Accesses in workflows which is not that easy. In fact, I want my users to add comment, modify a few fields (some are blocked) and be able to change the status of the workflow. I can give a group of users Collaborator's right but they can modify everything and delete everything, which I don't want. With participant rights, restricted fields stay restricted but this group cannot change the workflow status.

Any clues on how to resolve my issue?

Thx,

Yann

The publish workflow meets my requirement. Is there any extra control access for attachment view or download from an entry ?

No, there is no additional access controls for viewing attached files in an entry. If the user can read the entry, then that person can download and view any of the entry's attached files.
