Hi, anyone know how to add a textfield to a workspace form? It's not listed as a possible field when customizing a workspace form. I can create a custom.jsp, but I don't know if it will save the data then.

Oops, that looks like an oversight. But you can easily do it by first adding a "box" or a "2 or 3 column table" and then put the text field in that.

Yes, the data will be stored without any issue.

I will fix this in the sources.

Is it possible include a "textarea" field too?

Hi Daniel, if you want the textarea for formatted text (like I'm typing this message in) then yes, that's possible.

Sorry, i dont know how to do this. Could you show me, please?

I only see"HTML editor Text Area" and "Text".

My deal is create a field and set the value of rows and columns.

A standard textarea is not a standard form element so that would involve coding I think. Can't help you with that. It might be possible with html or a remote app also.

Again, adding a textarea is the same as adding a tecx field. Due to the bug I mentioned above, you need to add a "box" element to the form part of the workspace definition. Then you can add the textarea element into that box.

The documentation describes using the Form and View Designer to do this kind of thing.

Hi Peter, there is no standard text area to add through Form and View designers even when you add the box or table. Only HTML editor textarea. Daniel wants a standard html textarea I think.
