I was told that as of Teaming 2.1, there's an ability to publish calendars and Blogs so that they could be accessed without authentication!  Is that true?  If so, where can I setup the publishing and will it give me the ability to subscribe and so forth.

The Admin Guide explains how to do this.

Essentially, you want to enable "guest" access for the site. Do this from the admin  menu. Then, you want to add the user account named "guest" to the access control for those calendars and blogs. Giving guest "visitor" access is sufficient. (This gives then the right to add comments, so you might want to create a new role for the guest account to use that does not include the right to add replies.) In addition, you might want to create a landing page that the guest user views with pointers to these calendars and blogs.

One point you should know... Guest access is only available in the Teaming version, not the Kablink version. Kablink sites will not be able to do the above mentioned steps.

I was trying to accomplish this without the use of a Guest License!  I was told that information could be made available, on a per folder basis, without using Guest!

Regardless, is there a way to accomplish this goal without using the Guest Account?  Basically I will need to share some Calendars; Blogs would be a plus :)

PS: Does this mean Kablink's site is running on Teaming and not Kablink's code?

Are you running Kablink or Teaming?

(Kablink is the open source version that requires no license, Teaming is the Novell version that requires a license.)

No matter what, if you want people to be able to see calendars and blogs without having logged in, you have to be running Teaming. Kablink does not support this notion.

First names - I thought that we call them "Kablink Teaming" versus "Novell Teaming", not Kablink versus Teaming??

Second - I thought that the guest access feature is available in the Kablink Teaming (open source version) as well??
