Hi All

I was wondering if the source can be compiled on the QNAP NAS, there have been some talks in the QNAP forum about this.

There is a mono port available, it of course has an apache server, it has a gcc compiler available, and there is an easy package system available (QPKG).

So, anybody that is adventurous?

I'm not a compilation wizard in any ways, and I'm not that advanced in Linux, but I would love in helping out and get this port going...

Ok, brand new to this product, I think I've followed the documentation pretty close.

I've installed the novell-ifolder-enterprise-plugins-3.8.0.9328.1-3.1.x86_64.rpm and the ifolder3-enterprise-3.8.0.9328.1-2.1.x86_64.rpm

I then started the simias-server-setup and it created the correct users in eDirectory.

Then I want to run ifolder-web-setup, but I get an error if I want it to use ssl to the ifolder.

It's on the same box in this setup, so it's not a big problem, but why?

Btw. this is OpenSuse 11.3

I'm seeing an error of full ifolder.

I don't have a policy of max size, and I've mounted /var/simias/data on a seperate disk that's only 3% full.

I've rebooted the server, and I still see the error.

Looking in simias.log I see:

Simias.Sync.Log - started syncservice

Simias.Sync.Log - In Getlock

Simias.Sync.Log - Acquired Lock count = 1

Simias.Sync.Log - Out of get lock

I have a lot of users on this server, and haven't heard of any problem from other users.

This particular folder is 160 MB

I've tried removing the ifolder from the server, and reuploading it, but I still get the same error.

SOLVED: It appears that even though no policy is set up for maximum size, one is imposed. So after changing the diskquota to 1 GB it worked again.

Now that I have gotten this VERY nice ifolder server up and running, and people are really getting excited about it, we're going send it through access manager so that it gets authenticated automagically with the rest of the system authenticating there.

Now, this is all very very nice, I would however like to sophisticate it a bit.

So I looked in the manual, and read about what it said about LDAPGroups, which for me sounds like the right approach, but I must admit, I just got confused.

Can I provision access to ifolder via LDAP groups, and how does the LDAP context list fit into this?

Can I specify limitations / servers / privileges based on LDAP groups?

What I'm looking for is of course a way to control the ifolder behaviour from within our eDirectory, rather than use the webconsole.
