Extensions

With the introduction of Teaming 2.0 came a new Extensions format that allows developers to extend the functionality of Teaming in lots of interesting ways. The Extensions included in this directory have been contributed by the community and can be used in any Teaming 2.0 instance. See Developing Extensions for more information.

Landing Page Extensions	This extension adds some custom jsps that can be used in landing pages. These jsps can be used to show surveys, calendars, entries and replies, and folders with entries and replies on landing pages. There is also a jsp to show the list of files in the folder, sorted alphabetically.
TwitterExtension	This extension is an advanced workflow that allows any Teaming entry to be pushed to Twitter using a TinyUrl
VideoEntry	This extension adds Flash video support to Teaming. It currently only supports Flash videos and Firefox.
Flow Player Video	This extension lets you add .flv videos to a folder. This works with all browsers.
News Feed Extension	Add a news feed area onto your landing pages.
Search Box	Put a Search Box on the landing page.

Using Export/Import to deliver pre-built workspaces and content

You can use the new 2.1 Export/Import to deliver pre-built landing pages and content to your users. As and example, I have created a sample "classroom" landing page. This has been packaged as a Export file. To use this, import the attached file into a workspace. You will find a new workspace landing page that prompts you on how to enhance it to fit your environment. This approach starts people off with a working landing page that is already loaded with sample content. It includes instructions on how to use and modify the landing page. Because everything is already configured, someone who knows nothing about how to build a landing can easily get started and learn how to build their own fancy sites.
